"Beneath Your Heartless Stare”
May 8, 2024
Stop playing with my heart, I plea,
For your games cause wounds to bleed.
Your careless words, pierce like knives,
Leaving scars on once tender lives.
You toy with emotions, without care,
As if love’s just a game, to play and share.
But beneath your cold facade, I see,
A heartless void where empathy should be.
Yet still, I hope for a change to come,
For kindness to replace the harm you’ve done.
Until then, I guard my heart with care,
From the pain of your heartless stare.
